(CDSP) The Center for Anglican Learning and Leadership at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, CA is now offering selected online course in Spanish as part of its Anglican Study Series.
Fe Y Oracion: Un Estudio del Libro de Oracion Comun will be taught from Feb. 2 through March 21 and Capitulos en la Historia de la Iglesia Anglicana is scheduled for April 26 through June 13.
These are non-credit courses. Each course runs seven weeks. Internet access is required to participate in the classes. Course materials will be posted on the website and/or available on CD-ROM. All discussion will take place on the website and participants participate log on to participate when it's convenient for them rather than at a specified time each week.

Fe y Oracion: Un Estudio del Libro de Oración Común

¿Qué es la importancia de la oración común para nuestras vidas? ¿Cómo se usa un "libro" para orar? En esta clase se exploran aspectos de nuestra fe mediante un estudio del Libro de Oración Común. El estudio invita discusiones acerca de la formación de nuestros ministerios basados en vivir vidas de fe y oración. Tambien se incluyen en la clase conversaciones acerca de la importancia de la liturgía en la tradición episcopal y la contribución de aquella al camino espiritual del peregrino.
Lucinda Ashby is a Third Year MDiv student at CDSP from the Diocese of Northern California. She was raised in Costa Rica, Peru and Northern New Mexico Lucinda has a degree in Spanish literature, which she taught for ten years, spending the next ten years as an administrator, a chaplain
and an educational consultant, in addition to teaching. She and her husband live in Sacramento, CA, with their two teenage children.

La historia de la Iglesia es un tema central en la vida de Anglicanos/as
en todo el mundo. En este curso estudiaremos juntos/as el desarrollo del Anglicanismo desde la reforma en Inglaterra, incluyendo su trasfondo
histórico, hasta el Aglicanismo que vivimos en el siglo XXI. Atención especial se le dará a las diversas formas en que se vive el Anglicanismo en el mundo hispano de hoy (en las Américas y el caribe). Enfasís se dará a la diversidad del Anglicanismo en las variadas comunidades hispano-parlantes. La discusión será mayormente en español, aunque los trabajos se pueden entregar tanto en ingles ó español.
Carla Roland Guzman is a transitional deacon from the Iglesia Episcopal Puertorriquena. She received her MDiv and MA from CDSP and is currently a doctoral student at the University of Texas at Austin. She is an Episcopal Church Foundation fellow and a doctoral grant recipient from
the Hispanic Theological Initiative. Her field of study is Medieval Church History.
