Who are mystics? What is their relationship to the rest of creation? How do we deepen our own mystic consciousness? These are some of the questions we will explore through the writings and insights of some creation-centered mystics, including Meister Eckhart, Hildegard of Bingen and Julian of Norwich. Through input, reflection, dialogue, poetry, and music this program will support us on our mystical journeys.
Resource Person: Alexandra Kovats, CSJP, is adjunct professor at the School of Theology and Ministry, Seattle University. She is known in the US and Canada as a teacher and lecturer on spirituality, ecology, eco-feminism and religious life. A spiritual director and retreat facilitator, she is author of Prayer, A Discovery of Life (Nazareth Books, 1983).
